The same surface tension or adhesion that makes water cling to the side of a tilted glass draws water around the Original GutterGuardian cover and into the trough, front and back.

With any clog-free system, small bits of trash will manage to get by the cover. With the Original GutterGuardian system, there are two openings that are proportionally smaller. Less material can enter the trough and what does is swept away in the huge unobstructed trough, flushed from both front and back.

In heavy rains, any surface adhesion clog-free gutter protection system will experience some overshoot. The Original GutterGuardian system keeps this overshoot to a minimum.
